A method born at work before becoming an editorial project
Before it was a website, Les5C was a way of bringing order back to messy problems. In my professional work, projects often accumulated goals, constraints, tools and opinions until deciding became harder than the original problem. I needed a structure simple enough to use every day and strong enough not to lose the essentials.
An intentionally unpolished French phrase kept coming back: « c’est con mais c’est comme ça », roughly, “it may be annoyingly simple, but that is how it is”. It was not a theory. It was a reminder that a fact remains a fact, that an inconvenient constraint does not vanish, and that a sound decision starts by looking at reality as it is. The repeated C became a working reflex before it became a method.
